
About The Author
Dr. Dewey W. Williams has been in the ministry for over 40 years. He is a passionate student of the Bible and History.
Being born in Roanoke, Virginia in 1956, he was raised in a pastor’s home and made many moves in his early life.
He was saved in 1964 in a church in Giles County, Virginia that was built from the materials that survived the great fire that destroyed the famous Wabash Camp Grounds in 1897. This Methodist Camp was directed by Brother Robert Sheffy.
While in High School, Brother Williams got away from God’s will and in 1976, he was restored to full fellowship and the next year he answered God’s call to preach. The following year, in 1978, he began to pastor and also was married that year to the former Sherri Slaughter of Kingsport, Tennessee. God has blessed their union with two daughters and eleven grandchildren.
Brother Dewey, as called by his friends, has had an amazing life. He has pastored for over 40 years, started several churches, and has been preaching on the radio for over 40 years. His broadcast is called The Gospel Voice Broadcast.
He has been the Senior Pastor of Belle Meadows Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia for over 30 years. He has an extensive itinerant ministry, preaching in thirty-two states and eight foreign countries. He has visited the Philippines more than a dozen times preaching in seven different island there. He has had a television program in his region for nearly 20 years. He conducted area wide tent meetings for several years and has several thousand saved by God’s grace.
Brother Dewey and his dear wife Sherri are also broadcasters, owning and operating WIGN Radion Station with AM, FM, and internet signals going out. 1550 AM, 92:1 FM and 1550ambluegrass.com on the web.
Brother Dewey received his training mostly in the school of hard knocks, he graduated in 1986 from Liberty Home Bible Institute and has received three Honorary Doctors degrees through the years.
He continues to be a contender of the faith, to promote the Old Time Gospel of Christ, and to finish his race well.
These books that he has written have come from God, and from a walk with God, and a diligent study, and from the leadership of the Holy Spirit. All glory and honor go to the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the God of Glory.
